Who I Work With

My Approach to Therapy

I help people whose mood, trauma, anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts are controlling their lives learn to cope and feel in control again. Seeking therapy can be a scary step, but I’m excited to say that you don’t have to manage life’s difficulties alone. In therapy, I will support you in learning what your body is communicating through sadness, panic, insecurity, grief, and hopelessness. We can explore a variety of ways to process, as well as coping skills that match your life and who you are. I believe that we are experts of our own experiences, and my role is to guide you toward healing while honoring your personal values.

I practice EMDR and have expertise in a variety of areas, including trauma, addiction, substance use, and the LGBTQIA community. Whether it’s the big life altering traumas or the day-to-day difficulties and systems we navigate, there are ways to move forward and find hope. I hope to work with you soon!

Jessie’s extensive prior work includes treating those living with addiction at an inpatient substance abuse treatment center. She’s also worked in public education and juvenile detention settings, among others. Jessie is especially passionate about helping those living with trauma and PTSD – though she has a deep knowledge and skill for treating bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and many other areas. Through training and experience, Jessie has become practiced at using a number of different therapeutic methods, including EMDR, DBT, and CBT.

A bit more about me…

I love being curious and asking questions! I’m particularly fascinated by outer space, so star gazing and looking through a telescope at the craziness that is out there is a favorite hobby of mine. I also love to travel and explore, laugh with friends, and watch spooky movies or listen to spooky podcasts. The two loves of my life are my two cats Fox and Dale, named after Fox Mulder (X-Files) and Dale Cooper (Twin Peaks). Together we investigate the weird things around us!
