Who I Work With

My Approach to Therapy

Therapy is all about you-you’re the expert. I take a client-centered, solution-focused approach to therapy. I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative one in which you are the expert on yourself, and I come into the session with the experience and skills to help. I have a laid back style and like using humor, when appropriate. I enjoy working with children, adolescent, and adult clients who are struggling with eating disorders, mood issues, life transitions, and chronic health issues.

In therapy I work as a guide, helping you develop insight and tap into motivation to make positive change in your life. My aim is to help you reach the goals you set and live the life that you want to live.

I have a master’s degree in psychology and a doctorate in counseling psychology and I have been working as a therapist for 13 years. I am certified in Synergetic Play Therapy.

A little more about me…
I’m a military brat who has settled into loving life in Colorado. I currently live on some land with my three corgis, a few cats, and chickens. I love the peace I have found living in the country. I really enjoy reading, mostly fantasy and science fiction, and engaging with my nerdy side by playing D and D or watching movies and TV.
