My Approach to Therapy
Beginning therapy is a courageous step—and a powerful gift you give to yourself. It takes strength to lean into vulnerability and seek support, and I honor that strength in every person I work with. My practice is grounded in client-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based approaches, creating a space where you can feel safe, respected, and empowered to grow at your own pace.
I see therapy as a collaborative journey, one where I walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges and rediscover your inner resilience. Whether you’re working through past trauma, seeking clarity during a life transition, or simply trying to understand yourself more deeply, I’m here to support your process with empathy, curiosity, and care. Together, we’ll work to reconnect you with the tools and insight that already live within you.
Teresa’s path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by decades of meaningful work and service. She’s spent over 40 years as a court stenographer, witnessing firsthand the human stories behind the legal system. She completed internships with Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Compassionate Hospice Care, and House of Hope, a shelter for unhoused women with children. Teresa has also been trained as a facilitator of workshops and groups.
Teresa served for over 30 years as a Religious Science Practitioner with the Denver Church of Religious Science where she currently sits on the board of directors. Her experiences have deepened her understanding of resilience, healing, and the many ways people seek meaning and connection.
A little more about me…
Outside of my work, I’m a naturally curious person who finds joy in exploring life from many angles. I’m passionate about Jungian studies, love getting lost in books and movies, and find peace in nature. Traveling, connecting with people, and reflecting on the deeper layers of life all energize me. I bring this same openness and curiosity into the therapeutic space, always honoring the uniqueness of each individual I meet.
