My Approach to Therapy
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re not sure where to begin. Whether you’re feeling stuck, trying to make sense of what’s going on, or just carrying a lot day-to-day, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
I am a passionate and supportive therapist who works with you to understand all the pieces of what you’re experiencing. I believe that before deeper healing can happen, it’s often important to first find ways to manage the stress and pressure of everyday life. We may not be able to figure it all out together but finding a place to simply start can help taking care of yourself feel easier to accomplish.
My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to you. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build skills, gain insight, and feel more confident handling life’s challenges.
Together, you’ll find creative and realistic ways to cope, feel more grounded, and move forward in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.
Kady brings a range of experience from across the mental health field. She has worked extensively in residential treatment settings with teens and adults experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, as well as adolescents with eating disorders. During her graduate training, she completed multiple internships in the domestic violence field, deepening her understanding of the importance of support and stability when individuals are rebuilding after trauma.
A little more about me…
I have a love for exploring all parts of the world, including the bottom of the ocean through scuba diving. When I am at home I can usually be found reading a book, making some type of food, or going to a cycling class.
