Who I Work With

My Approach to Therapy

Why does it sometimes feel so hard to understand yourself or know what you truly want from life? You may find yourself constantly overthinking, questioning your worth, or feeling emotionally drained from carrying everything on your own. When you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who you are beneath the stress and anxiety, it can be difficult to know where to start. But you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin understanding yourself more deeply or to reach out for support.

I’m passionate about helping people better understand themselves and the systems shaping their experiences. Using an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach, we’ll explore your experiences with curiosity, compassion, and honesty—not from a place of “fixing” you, but from a place of deeper understanding and acceptance. Together, we’ll identify what matters most to you, reconnect with your values, and build a life that feels more meaningful and aligned.

My approach is strengths-based, collaborative, and grounded in self-compassion. I believe healing begins when we stop judging ourselves for struggling and start understanding ourselves more fully. Therapy can be a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move through life with greater clarity and intention.

Christa has over three years of experience working with nonprofits, where they provided education and support around mental health, housing insecurity, food insecurity, and systemic oppression. Their work has focused on increasing access to resources while helping individuals better understand the broader systems impacting their well-being. They have also supported clients therapeutically in a campus community mental health clinic.

A little more about me…

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy a mix of creative and outdoorsy hobbies that help me stay grounded and energized. I love crocheting and often unwind by making small, meaningful projects. I’m also a big fan of video games, especially story-rich or goal based games like Cult of the Lamb, Tomb Raider, and Fortnite. Spending time outside is really important to me; I’ve hiked part of the Appalachian Trail, which was a deeply impactful experience that strengthened my love for nature and hiking. At home, I have a pet jumping spider named Axel who brings a lot of curiosity and joy into my day. Music is also a constant in my life, there’s almost always a playlist playing in the background, usually filled with R&B artists and moody vibes.
