Who I Work With

My Approach to Therapy

Seeking therapy is a courageous act, and I want to thank you for taking the first step to improving your mental health and happiness! My name is Cassie Matz, and I have been a clinical social worker since 2010. My passion is in helping people find meaning and purpose while coping with grief and loss, depression and anxiety, parenting issues, and women’s issues (including fertility, relational issues, career challenges, adjustments to parenthood, and self-esteem). You are the expert in your life story, and I will follow your lead as we work towards meeting your personal and relationship goals.

Clients tell me they find me to be warm, open, and compassionate. I believe that creating a non-judgmental, safe relationship between therapist and client is the most important part of creating lasting change in my client’s lives. I have seen throughout my professional career that growth is possible for all people, especially during the most difficult times of life. Working from a strengths-based, trauma-informed lense, I seek to empower you as you build a better life for yourself.

Thank you for taking the first step towards a happier, more fulfilled life. I look forward to getting to know you!

A little more about me…
It’s not surprising that, after 30 years spent living in Colorado, my hobbies and interests really reflect the beautiful life that Colorado can offer. I love to hike and be outdoors, and my newest love is cycling (rather slowly, but still always in forward motion!). My Goldendoodle Annie is my constant outdoor companion and my best buddy. I spend a lot of my free time on my bike, at spin and hot yoga, and with my family and friends. As an extrovert, I love time with others, especially when we are being active together or enjoying a brunch session on the patio.
