My Approach to Therapy

Change can be hard, and it’s also a natural part of life. Whether you’re navigating challenges in your relationships, feeling stuck in longstanding patterns, or seeking deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can offer a space for meaningful growth. My intention is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where we can explore what’s beneath the surface, build on your strengths, and move toward a more connected and fulfilling life. My approach is warm, direct, and curious, with deep respect for your unique experiences and goals.

I work with individuals and couples seeking greater emotional intimacy, self-understanding, and lasting change. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms, drawing from evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic interventions.

I also incorporate attachment-based and insight-oriented perspectives, helping clients understand how early experiences, relational patterns, and unconscious beliefs may continue to shape their current relationships, emotions, and sense of self. Together, we work toward both symptom relief and deeper, more enduring change. My practice is trauma-informed, sex-positive, affirming, and nonjudgmental, creating space for clients to explore identity, sexuality, relationships, and personal growth with openness and curiosity.

Madeline has experience working with adolescents and adults navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and neurodivergence. She has facilitated therapeutic groups and taught classes focused on healthy relationships and communication. Her work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs through increased self-awareness, emotional honesty, and the development of more authentic relationships with oneself and others.

A little more about me…
In my free time I love to walk through forested areas with my two dogs, Mushi and Ginkgo. Otherwise I’m usually at a thrift store, a yoga studio, or learning to cook some tasty new dishes.
