Do you accept insurance?
Yes! We accept Aetna, Cigna, Medicaid, United Healthcare, and Kaiser. After reaching out to us, our team will work with you to verify your insurance coverage and provide an estimate of what you will owe per-session.
We’ll bill insurance on your behalf if we’re in network with your plan. If we are out of network, you will pay our private-pay rate for each session. Click here for details on our private-pay/out-of-network session rates
How much will my therapy cost?
For those using insurance, costs vary depending on the plan. Our billing department will work with you to provide an estimate of your copay amount.

How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
You can always call or email your therapist to cancel or reschedule an appointment (email is their firstinitiallastname@betterlifecolorado.com [for example: jsmith@betterlifecolorado.com]).
All cancellations and reschedules must be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment to avoid a fee. Late cancellations and no shows otherwise invoke a $100 fee for which you are responsible. Insurances will not cover late fees.
What approach do you use in counseling?
Each of our therapists utilizes their own methods and strategies for counseling. We have therapists who use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Emotionally Focused Couple’s therapy (EFT), among many others.
If you are seeking a specific type of therapy, please notify our intake coordinator so that we can match you with a therapist who utilizes your preferred method.
What are sessions like?
During your first session, your therapist will ensure you’ve completed our intake forms as well as discuss confidentiality and other procedures. Then, your therapist will begin to hear your story and learn more about you and your goals for therapy.
The second and third sessions are typically a continuation of your story. Your therapist will spend more time getting to know you, your strengths, and your growth needs. Your and your therapist will create objective goals, meaning: they’ll be specific, you’ll know how to reach them, and you’ll understand what your life will look like when you reach those goals.
From that point on, sessions are tailored to meeting your goals and will include check-ins for how you feel progress is being made, changing or adding goals, and helping you feel life satisfaction.
What are your hours?
Our therapists are generally available for sessions every day of the week from 7:00am to 8:00pm by appointment only. Weekend and evening availability may be more limited.
Availability is different from therapist to therapist, and some clinicians may be available during times that others are not. Our scheduling team can help you find a therapist that best fits your personal scheduling needs!
