I\u2019ve been a therapist since 2014, but from the time I was young, I assumed I\u2019d be a journalist. I\u2019ve always loved story-telling; and had always found truth much more interesting than fiction. After reading Irvin Yalom\u2019s work and binge watching HBO\u2019s In Treatment, I was fascinated by the ways language and relationship shape our psychological worlds. I decided to pursue career in mental health, which turned out to be one of life\u2019s happiest reroutes. Today, I get to use my journalistic sensibilities to look deeply at others\u2019 stories with curiosity and compassion. Clients who work with me find in their stories hefty doses of metaphor, theme, layers of meaning, and multiplicity of truth. We work to make change, make peace and make meaning of the complexities of life.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve worked in several treatment settings before private practice, including an eating disorder treatment center, an autism treatment center, a center providing services to children and families in the foster care system, and at in-home with seniors. These experiences have given me a wide range of tools and treatment approaches that I use daily with clients.<\/p>\n
